PITTSBURGH – February 12, 2018– Pittsburgh-based geotechnical firm Menard Group USA will be opening a new combined office and shop facility with 4,800 square feet of covered space along Interstate 10 in Sorrento, Louisiana, to accommodate its growing operations in the area. The facility also includes several acres of laydown yard for equipment storage.
The new office, shop and yard located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans will allow them to locally maintain and house CMC rigid inclusion, vibro, grouting and other specialty equipment. More importantly, it will serve as a support hub for their regional projects and personnel. Menard has similar facilities near their company headquarters in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and in Leland, North Carolina.
“We’ve been in the area locally for many years,” said Jonathan Dwight, Area Manager for Menard Group USA. “The new Sorrento facility will help us increase our physical presence, serve the Louisiana market better and mobilize faster for our clients on the Gulf Coast.”
The new facility will open next month and will immediately begin managing Menard’s large backlog of projects in the region.
