PITTSBURGH – May 16, 2017– Pittsburgh-based geotechnical firm Menard Group USA is opening an office in Chicago.
“This is the first step for us in our efforts to expand into the Midwest/Great Lakes region, where soft soils are predominant,” said Frederic Masse, President, Menard Group USA. “This move allows us to be closer to all of our current and new customers in the region to provide our expertise in ground improvement.”
The Chicago office will be led by Sales Engineer Jim Naples and Senior Design Engineer Alex Potter-Weight. The two have worked on multiple projects together across the country and in the Midwest. Naples and Potter-Weight most recently teamed up for Menard’s portion of Minnesota’s TH 169 Nine Mile Creek project, which included the installation of more than 6,000 controlled modulus column (CMC) rigid inclusions.
“We have a lot of great clients and contacts in the area that we’ve been working with for years,” said Naples. “We’re looking forward to becoming part of the community and further strengthening those relationships.”
The new office is located at 325 West Huron Street in Suite 509.
